Remember, if you have an IRA, 401(k) rollover, SEP, or SIMPLE, you only have until December 31 to convert to a Roth IRA without penalty or income restrictions. There is no penalty for this conversion, and the taxes can either be paid in full for the 2010 tax year or deferred to be paid one half in each of the 2011 and 2012 tax years.
