DAS: Understanding Short Sales and Foreclosure Process for Owners and Buyers
Description:	Loan modification, short sales, foreclosure, deed in lieu...most of us were not familiar with these terms until recently, let alone the process. What do they mean? Are any a viable option if you owen more on your mortgage than your property is workth? Where does bankruptcy fit into the picture? Are the rules different if you are an investor? In our workshop, you will learn what is actually happening to property owners, including investors, who pursue one of these options. We will discuss pending legislation including the Mortgage Forgiveness Debt Relief Act of 2007.
