Workshop to Help Investors Avoid Falling Victim to Scams and Fraud

August 20, 2012 - In a recent article published by NPR, Boston University Law Professor, Tamar Frankel, states, “losses from Ponzi schemes and other related frauds cost investors about $10 billion a year.” Investors who want to minimize their potential for falling victim to untrustworthy investments can learn more at an upcoming Workshop presented by The Entrust Group, an acknowledged authority and premier provider of account administration services for self-directed IRAs.
“The Power to Invest: Due Diligence & Private Placements Workshop” will examine ways investors can protect their hard earned savings from Ponzi schemes, scams, and fraud. The Workshop will also feature an advanced education session on investing in private placements with a self-directed IRA, an investment strategy often abused by scammers. It takes place on October 18, 2012, from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. PST, at the Courtyard Marriott in Marina Del Rey, CA.
